The Summit Revival

Perched high atop a mountain with a sweeping valley view rarely found in Texas, Panther Hill was a diamond hidden beneath its 1980s Mediterranean shell. The owners fell in love with the extraordinary vantage point—and asked RTD to breathe new life into the home without altering its original footprint.

What followed was a total transformation: millwork reimagined, spaces reoriented, and architectural details refined to create a destination for large-scale entertaining. The kitchen became a true stage—designed so a guest chef could shine while guests gather around the generous island. Every decision aimed to honor the home’s unmatched views while turning it into a place where 16–20 guests can savor long dinners, fundraisers, and unforgettable moments above the valley below.
